This is our initial design and the camper does not extend forward over the truck cab. It has slightly less interior space than the G2 but it also has a lower price point. If you are going to be traveling solo or with your favorite 4 legged friend this might provide all the room you want or need. We have created plenty of memories using a classic model so if you are on a budget, will be traveling solo or don't need the additional space of the G2 the Classic could be the right fit for you.
This is the 2nd Generation WheelCabin and it has more interior space, a more streamlined appearance and a better aerodynamic profile. This is the model we most frequently recommend.
Our most popular package and one we typically recommend. Includes reversible MaxxAir ceiling fan with 10 speeds and a thermostatic remote, deep cell battery with battery box, hard wired DC powered ceiling lights (4), AC outlet with AC powered USB ports (requires shore power), 12 volt power access panel with USB charging ports/power point/voltage meter and master on/off switch, battery trickle charger and a lockable underside access door with cord storage.
This package requires the powered roof vent, hard wired lights, DC and AC outlets package above. If you plan on doing a lot of boondocking and/or need occasional AC power while you are off the grid this package, with the help of the sun, will allow you to be self sufficient for longer periods of time.
Twin sized mattress that folds into a lounger. Add two of them for a king sized bed sleeping area. There are many mattress options out there, so while we like these we do encourage you to look at what else is available. You may find something you like better and/or save yourself some money.
Queen sized mattress that folds into a lounger. If you sleep in a queen at home we would recommend this option. Sleeping size: 80"(L) x 60"(W) x 4"(Thick); folded dimensions: 60"(L) x 26.7"(W) x 16"(H). As we mention above for the twin size mattresses, there are many mattress options out there so while we like these we do encourage you to look at what else is out there. You may find something you like better and/or save yourself some money.
Ports with caps only
Allows for access to contents of truck box, allows for shorter persons to stand up as well as a natural sitting position (feet in truck box) when removed.
Provides limited access to the truck cab sliding window
Note: Some items like canoes with pads may not require an actual roof rack
32" Smart TV with remote and HDMI inputs. Mounted to quick remove brackets allowing for inside or outside use. Coaxial wiring for a connection to an external TV broadcast source is included. TV requires access to a 110 volt AC source (does not run on DC power) so one of the packages that include AC outlets is required.
These cable jacks are what we use here in the shop. They are somewhat bulky so they are best for those of you who will not want to take the camper off of your truck once you reach your destination.
This package requires the powered roof vent, hard wired lights, DC and AC outlets package above.
You already have removable jacks or some other method of loading/unloading the camper.
Note: WheelCabins are intended to be used as occasional use campers and are designed to be stored out of the elements when you are not camping.
Want to harness more power from the sun. Set up some time with us to discuss your requirements
Our power options come with a group 27 or group 31 (100 watt solar package) 12 volt lead-acid flooded battery. There are many options out there (multiple group 27 or 31 batteries, golf cart batteries, lithium-ion, AGM, etc.). We would be happy to discuss options with you including whether we source them or you do. Note: if you provide your own batteries, we will have configured and tested the system using lead-acid batteries and we will do the customer handoff to you with test batteries that we will retain.
There are many out there and we do not as of yet have a favorite. Adding an awning may drive a change to where the doors are located so let's discuss what is important to you.
Do you want to be able to transport bicycles or other large items inside? If you go with passenger and driver side ingress/egress doors we can add a large cargo door at the back.
